Why do you need to use 2 cameras?Not only does it provide additional angles of view, but it allows us to capture guests’ reactions to speeches, to cover different areas at the same time and to help provide a clean edit when guests, hotel staff, priests, photographers and everyone else obstruct the camera!Can I choose the music?Certainly. This is one of the topics we can discuss when we meet before the big day. A selection of your favourite tracks is helpful as any particular track may not always match the pace of the video. These decisions are made at the editing stage.Can I have all the un-edited footage?No. Your video will contain all the best footage of the day, just as a photographer uses the best shots for an album. Unedited footage is largely unwatchable as cameras are kept running even when being moved, for synchronisation reasons. Some footage is without audio when radio mics are sending sound to the other camera. Unedited footage will not match your video in terms of colour correction, brightness & contrast etc. Some guests like to do a re-take when recording a video message, the original would embarrass them. Private conversations are picked up on audio and edited out. We are often asked on the day, to ensure that certain items are edited out.How long will I have to wait for my DVD?Early in the season it can be as little as 3 weeks. At the end of the season it can be as much as 3 months. Careful and creative editing is a very time-consuming process.Your patience is appreciated.Can you provide extra copies for my family and friends?Of course. You will be asked at the meeting how many copies you require. We provide up to 3 extras free of charge. Many companies ‘copy protect’ their discs and charge a fortune for extra discs, we do neither.How can I be sure that I will be happy with my video?This is important to us too. At our meeting we will discuss the video to help us understand what you want and for you to understand what we can do. The style of editing is individual to each editor, but you can see sample clips on this website or request a full length sample.If there is something you’re really not happy with we’ll try to correct it if practicable. In the event of a serious disagreement the Institute of Videography has an arbitration service.
